"Drumming is about heart and passion. I believe it is our job as spiritual drummers to bring life to the simplest of grooves and beats, almost as if we are playing the heartbeat of God. There is much injustice in our world, I for one want to strike the drum for justice and for joy."

web.jpg Simon Edwards and Matt Hains have been meeting with other drummers in Northern Ireland for approx 5 years. Here are some great photos of the group who have been meeting for prayer and worship with drums, hosting clinics and getting out on the streets at various events - not least as part of Belfast’s Summer Madness gathering, which sees as many as 2000 young people gathering to make a difference through the gospel in the heart of the city. Rhythms of Fresh Fire coming.

    By Chief | June 1, 2008

FFM_Podcast.jpgI have been having visions of God’s ‘Fire’ for several years. The CD ‘Rhythms of Fire’ is all about that fire. This is what I’m seeing.

“There is a great fire filling the earth, coming in rhythmic waves. It is the presence of God’s Glory. Rhythms of fire, burning in a harmonious melody accompanied by the sound of a great heavenly choir, and pulsing to an unyielding beat of a thousand drummers drumming in the great court of the Lord. It is the Father’s victorious song for Christ the King! Rhythms of fire are pumping out of the heart of God and filling the earth. They are brighter than any light, purer than any earthly force, unquenchable, unfathomable, unstoppable, purifying and separating God’s church for Himself. The fire is the presence of God’s true love. It’s time to join the song of the Lord, it’s time to catch the rhythm of God’s heartbeat, it’s time to worship Jesus Christ as King over all the earth.”

I believe there are great signs of this Holy fire being seen in many movements of God around the earth. Perhaps the most visible right now is in Lakeland Florida with Todd Bentley (pictured). Please join us in praying it spreads to release the power and presence of Christ through His church around the world. Watch live on GodTV nightly.
    Terl Bryant (Psalm Drummers Founder).

    Try this for exercise!

    By admin | May 28, 2008

stick_bag.JPG Here is a little exercise to help develop your independence - although we’re not promising it has much to do with your playing.

Sit down, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. Now, keep the foot going, but draw the number “6″ in the air with your right hand. Your foot will keep changing direction! How funny is that…. better get practicing. Better still, check out this great link for some proper tuition with Scott Johnson in the USA!
