It was such great fun and very rewarding to receive you and the excellent team, and how well you worked together and ministered to us all. I wasn’t sure just exactly how you were going to lead the meeting for two hours without a musical back up, and speak and preach for two hours to a mixed audience of adults and children! Well, you did it, and you did it wonderfully well, and we felt the touch of God on our meeting. It was an absolute delight to witness some normally quite reserved folk stamping their feet, clicking their fingers, participating in imaginative new ways of expressing worship. You have helped us so much, all done with sensitivity and with evident compassion for the people of God, from a very diverse cultural background in Dubai. You have a great teaching gift, quite apart from any brilliant drumming (!), and your love for the people of God shines so strongly. We are so blessed and humbled by all the team’s kindness to us. We had a visiting preacher from Sierra Leone teaching yesterday, and after his sermon he called people up for prayers during which he grabbed my hand. He said, “now you Mr drummer thank you, I believe that the lord has plans for you. As you drum you are not making a noise, you are worshipping the Lord through your drumming, and as long as you continue playing in the spirit things will happen for you with your drums”. This has come about from knowing the Psalm Drummers and learning to play in the Spirit of Christ. Joe, UK (March ‘07)

Your book! I expected it would be good but I didn’t how good! It is inspired and is an inspiration. I want to thank you very much that we could be a part of Psalm Drummers at Calling All Nations. It was very great, I learned a lot, musically and spiritually. You travelled long with all the drums and practiced with us and gave us T-shirts, and then we played only one song. I saw that you really love Jesus and play for him and you are spiritual fighters. Wasn’t it great to see nation after nation coming together to worship and praise our one true God. Don’t underestimate the power an affect your playing had in the unseen realm. We have had several clear pictures/words given to us of ripples/sound waves penetrating/punching through the atmosphere from the stadium as we played - keep praying for Berlin. God certainly showed up and both services were started with a wall of rhythm to “O Come let us adore him”. The congregation grasped the excitement and authority of rhythm in worship more quickly than I had imagined and the dynamic amongst the drummers and band was incredible. The ministry times were tender, musically it was actually very simple but God seemed to use our simplicity in a very deep way to minister to us and the congregation. As a first outing, it far exceeded anything I had expected. This must have been down to the prayers and support from all of you and we need to continue to underpin this with prayer. We run an indoor Youth Centre & Skatepark and have started to use drums (literally plastic chemical drums!) in our worship and have recently started combining this with guys riding and skating the ramps as worship and prayer. Last night’s session was amazingly powerful with the rhythms (based on your CD) releasing powerful prayer and worship in the guys on their skateboards and BMXs.
