The Bible drum is the 'tof' (Hebrew), which modern translators mostly render as 'tambourine'. The 'tof' is a frame drum which appears in Scripture 16 times. God's word gives authority for the drummer to strike the drum: in celebration (1 Chron. 13:8); in praise (Ps. 150:4); in worship (Ps. 68:25); for prophecy (1 Sam. 10:5, 6); for healing (Ps. 81:2-7); and in declaration of the Lord's sovereignty (Isaiah 30:32).

I will be there, looking forward to connecting with other Christian drummers! Any South Africans about?

I was at the gathering in Winchester last year and it was fantastic. Great teaching, cool drumming and many different workshops to take part in. I would encourage everyone to go! It’s worth it!

Come on drummers - you need to be there. Don’t complain about the ticket price, we’re not doing it to make money! You can easily spend more than that on one good drum lesson. This day will change your life. I am absolutely sure of that. Peace ~ Terl

      A frew thoughts:

Psalm 50: 5 “Gather to me my consecrated ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”6 And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God himself is judge. Selah

Psalm 81: 2+4 Start the music! Beat the drum! … this is a law for Isra’el, a ruling of the God of Ya’akov.(Complete Jewish Bible)

SEPTEMBER 22nd 2007 is Yom Kippur (Yom Kippur is the Day of Atonement.

Leviticus 23:27 “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present an offering made to the Lord by fire.

Hi Terl. I have been seriously considering whether I should be there and finally decided not to come just because of my full September schedule. Be blessed. Looking forward to seeing you in Czech in November.

God is doing something powerful and new through the release of anointed worship and new sounds in the nations. I believe that Psalm Drummers are on the cutting edge of this move, and that this day will be one to remember - for all the right reasons!

This is going to be the best drum day ever!! What an amazing chance to see so many top Christian musicians in one place. I will be there and urge anyone interested to go. You don’t get opportunities like this very often. Don’t miss it!!

We were dissapointed to miss last year so we made sure to get this date in our diaries early. We’ll be on the road at 430am from Pembrokeshire to get to Reading on time. WHY? because we know that God is calling all his drummers to get together and receive from him so that they can become a strong team and witness for him all over the world.

I thoroughly enjoyed the workshops, the worship sessions and the teachings!
Let’s hope we have plenty more of these days and that even more people - drummers and non-drummers alike respond to the call!

Thank you guys for all your encouraging comments - we’re just starting to find our feet after the event, but are so excited about what God is doing in moving us closer to Him through the drummer gatherings like this. Join us to pray for clear strategy as we plan Psalm Drummers activities through 2008 and for the gathering next year. Let’s do all we can to keep in step with His heartbeat and spread the news to all the drummers we know. Peace ~ Terl
